LADY ANN is the Gov’nrs wife, of course a refined and well mannered lady, although the envious say she’s haughty and of questionable background. She has only lied and cheated where necessary to rise in the ranks of the wealthy to hoist her pennant proudly beside her husband, Gov’nr Gumbatz. The rest is his story, er….history. In full sail, Lady Ann is a vessel to be feared. Always quick with the wit or the writ, she’ll blast ye with sea law or sink ye with Irish charm.
GOVN'R GUMBATZ claims to be an Italian aristocrat in exile, with refined taste in food and women. He insists he is the finest European lover, accomplished with the rapier and cutlass, and only flirts with the prettiest of ladies and wenches. Quick to see and worm into any position of advantage, the Gov’nr is just as likely to turn up as Blackbeards’ lieutenant as the Colonial authority. Gumbatz will engage in anything that is rewarding, as he understands the need for rum and gold, and can be distinguished by the large and pompous “G” medallion on his hat.
