ANTONIO GUMBATZ is referred to as “The Greasy One” by his shipmates, and can be usually found below decks in his galley, creating a delicacy or skinning a rat for dinner. Taken off a Spanish ship as a lad by pirates, he learned from them the cutlass and pistol, as well as the spoon and sauce pan. Antonio, the large greasy one, is loud, gregarious, proud of his heritage, and jovial, until irritated. Often seen on shore with rum in one hand and food in the other, he entertains the crew with a song or two, bellowing out tunes, sometimes on key.
